ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Founded by Dolapo Morgan and shaped by her journey across continents and cultures, Refaini is a fusion of legacy and reinvention — a celebration of Africa’s treasures reimagined as symbols of strength, beauty, and becoming for the modern woman.
Raised in Nigeria, her earliest creative expressions came through painting, sewing, and hair braiding — tactile arts that foreshadowed a lifelong love for working with her hands. A cherished birthday ritual — receiving a piece of jewelry from her grandmother each year — deepened her fascination with adornment and its intimate power.
Her professional path spans strategy consulting nd venture capital, where she has backed high-growth startups across the continent. She has lived and worked in eight countries across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East, cultivating a global perspective on craftsmanship, luxury, and culture.
Launched in April 2022, Refaini is both a personal and collective mission — to honor Africa’s hidden treasures and reimagine its culture into timeless, sculptural works of wearable art. Each design is a fusion of heritage and modernity — a story in form, echoing tradition, inviting transformation, and speaking to the woman becoming who she was created to be.
